The Internet Marketing Guru's I have developed trust and admiration for are listed below. Does this mean that these guys don't get up my nose sometimes? No, they certainly do.
As an example, most guru's will jump on the "New" thing out and pump it out to their list. That's the name of the game in marketing. That's what affiliate marketing is all about. I don't have a problem with that per say. Wait for it! However, I do get tired of being blasted by a similar email on the same product 20 times in a day. As all people in business we have to gaurd our relationship with our clients. I have started unsubscibing recently to try and get a message across. Pointless? Probably, but hey, you need to stand up for what you believe in. The bottom line with relating is that the writers sometimes think they are so clever with their copywriting skills yet it's your heart in it that comes through. Your copywriting may be brilliant but if you don't genuinely believe the value in it then it's going to be hard to convince people too. Hello Guru's! One guy who very rarely crosses the line is Eric Holmlund. Eric, do be careful! Another guy who does well is Joel Comm. Now, Joel has crossed the line a few times with seemingly farce write ups and promo's on various stuff. Please, don't misunderstand me. I am still subscribed to Joel but sometimes his spiel has lacked authenticity.

End of Internet Marketing Guru's.
Before going for domain name registration, it is better to resolve other issues. The most important issue is that of linux shared hosting, only if the site requires ecommerce web hosting. In case of affiliate marketing, the situation totally changes. Then the domain name registration should be relevant to the affiliate resources. This kind of information is easily available from domain register review sites. This kind of digging up is necessary before committing to any web hosting service.
Ex Subscribed Internet Marketing Guru's.
Now, there is a whole lot of others that I was subscribed to but I have now unsubscribed from. Should you consider subscibing to them? Absolutely. It all depends on where you are at on your journey. Why did I unsubscibe? They annoyed me for one reason or another.
Here's an example - Jonathan Leger. This guy has given so much sound advice and seems to be so upfront and genuine. Make no mistake, he has something to sell but he delivers the information and the product in such a way that it either fits for you or it doesn't. Anyway, what happened for me was this. He had made a typo on a particular product and I emailed him straight away and told him. I also suggested that my effort had to be worth a freebie. I thought it was a great idea and at minimum it was some fun. His response was not rude but was certainly curt and got right up my nose. I had spent quite a few hundred dollars with this guy. After a few emails back and forth I realised that something was happening for Jonathan. A- His wife had given him grief that morning. B- He was a tightass. C- He had NO sense of humour. So, I still haven't subscribed but I did have a quick read of a post on his blog. He spoke on an experience he had in ashop recently where the shopkeeper didn't treat him well but rather than get upset with her he showed her compassion (empathy in action) and it made a differnce for both of them. So, the moral of the story? Jonathan has some good info but don't expect him to be humourous or generous.
The other good reason for unsubscibing is that we all only have a certain amount of time in the day. When you're a newbie we have to balance our learning time with action time. after a while it is so easy to be subscibed to so many 'guru's' that there is no time left to implement anything. The other issue is that you start to go from one shiny thing to the next. You know what I mean. Oh wow, I need to get that software - that will make it all work - or - I'll try that strategy now (before you've even finished implementing the last one) and so the list goes on - and on. Stay focussed, set a time for handling your emails and following the links in them. If you need to reduce the time then unsubscribe from a few. Sorry to swear like that - unsubscribe, unsubscibe, unsubscribe.
